There is still time to apply for the final round of Teaching Excellence Development Fund for 2024/25 academic year, with applications closing on Friday 11th April 2025.
The 2025–26 TAA application form is now open. Staff who had a 2024–25 TAA must reapply, as arrangements do not carry forward. The deadline for applications is Friday 14 March 2025.
Students and staff are invited to submit proposals for the 2025 ITL Conference, held on the 2 and 3 July 2025. Various formats are encouraged, such as Wicked Problem Sets, Paper presentations, Poster displays, and Lightning talks. The submission deadline is 5pm 28th February.

Tom Rodgers is a Reader in Chemical Engineering Education in the Department of Chemical Engineering. At the 2024 Teaching Excellence Awards he won the award for Educational Leadership and Flexible Learning and Digital Delivery. Here Tom tells us how he has focused on developing rich-media resources to allow students to learn at their own pace, developing strategies for group problem solving, peer marking, and in-class discussions.
Lisa Taylor is a Senior Lecturer Fashion Business and Technology Department of Materials. She led the Fashion Education and Inclusive Learning Innovators (FEILI) team that won the Inclusive Education and Flexible Learning and Digital Delivery award at the 2024 Teaching Excellence Awards for their Digital Learning Technologies Project: a Creative Combination to Augment Applied Learning.
