We publish posts written by our students and graduates to help you see what life is like for students in the Faculty of Science and Engineering (FSE) at the University of Manchester.

Want to contribute an article? You can contact us to discuss an idea you have, or send us your full article, at fsetcstudents@manchester.ac.uk. Please include your name, degree, and year and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

The word limit for an article is 1500 words, but don’t worry too much about the length; if you can write an interesting article in 200 words then we’d love to read it! Articles should be about life as an FSE student, that could be relating to your studies, related social activities, events, and much more.

Once you have submitted your article, we will contact you if and when your article is to be posted.

By submitting your article, you confirm that:

• This article has not exclusively been written using AI tools
• This article doesn’t contain any confidential information, or any content which could be deemed offensive or controversial in line with the University’s Freedom of Speech Code of Practice

• You are/were a student at the University of Manchester
