AI Policy: Use Official Sources to Stay Current and Support Students

To support consistent implementation of the University AI policy across FSE, colleagues should use official sources when checking guidance, sharing updates and signposting support for students.

Using the same trusted sources will help ensure that staff are working from current information, students receive consistent guidance, and local messages remain aligned with Faculty and University expectations.

Student Signposting

Students should be signposted to official Library guidance where they need help with responsible AI use, referencing and digital capabilities.

Useful student-facing links include AI and referencing and Library support for digital skills.

Why This Matters

The aim is to keep information accurate, consistent and easy to revisit. By using official sources, staff can stay current, avoid duplication and help students access the right support when they need it.
